Alisha Myrna Mustapha (May 1, 1936 to June 13, 2026) passed away peacefully at home. She is the loving and cherished mother of three daughters, Farah Ramcharan, Nadia Mustapha, and Laila Amrod, mother-in-law to David Ramcharan and Marlon Amrod, grandmother of Michael Ramcharan, sister-in-law to Marian Dayal and Zorina Mohammed, and beloved aunt to many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.

Alisha was especially grateful to the relatives: Haajra and Hisham Mohammed, Camille and Hatim Mustapha, and Bibi Muzaffarr- Jamadar, who she relied on for assistance in any need, and for her full-time nursing aide, Neomie Luke, her daily companion and main caregiver.

Alisha was predeceased by her husband, Kayium Mustapha, father and mother Frank and Doris Dayal, sisters Lynette Soogrim and Marlene Dayal, and brothers Winston and Mervyn Dayal.

She lived her life as a pillar of strength and joy to everyone she met, always led by her strong faith in God. Her favorite quote was “God is good, all is well.” She enjoyed reading her religious books and listening to the Divine Mercy Chaplet prayers.

She grew up in San Fernando, moved to San Juan where she met her loving husband Kayium and married in 1960. After marriage, they moved to England where they spent 12 wonderful years, had three daughters before moving back to Trinidad in 1972 to be among immediate relatives.

After her husband’s passing, she spent 12 years living in New York with her daughter, Laila and son-in-law Marlon, and also visited by her daughter Farah, son-in-law David, and loving Grandson, Michael from Nebraska.

May Alisha, with prayers from all who loved her, rest in eternal peace, and be reunited with her loving husband, Kayium.
