In Loving Memory of Carlyle Andrew Sylvester

We lovingly remember the life of Carlyle Andrew Sylvester, whose journey was marked by devotion to family, enduring relationships, and a presence that touched many lives.

Carlyle was the son of the late Allan Sylvester and Joyce Sylvester, and the devoted husband of Glenda Sylvester. He was a loving father to Carlene, Carlon, Carlin, and Gyasi, and a cherished father-in-law to Ternisha and Anastasia. His joy was evident in his role as grandfather to Tayma, Emmanuel, Kiara, and Kyron.

He shared strong family bonds as the brother of Esther, Eric, Anthony, Vereline, Claire, Clarence, Lydia, Allison, and Allister, and as brother-in-law to Peter, Kevin, Helen, Susan, Florence, Jerry, Veronica, Anthony, and Ernest. Carlyle was a caring uncle to John, the late Gregory, Anderson, Eddison, Anika, B’lane, Sankara, Briana, Safiya, Cale, Azalea, Kemuel, Omega, Amaya, Patrice, Darius, Dolf, Jevon, and Tavia, and a nephew of Jean and Marjorie.

He was also cousin to Amryl, Anthony, Gilbert, Stephanie, Nicole, Darryl, Neil, Sean, and many others, and a relative of the James, Gordon, Bartholomew, Greenidge, families. Carlyle’s life was enriched by lasting friendships with Jadoo, Sean (also known as Red Man), Plaza, Malcolm, Daniel, Miller, Robert, Jenelle, Angela, Charlene, Pico, Abraham, Sandra, Victoria, and the Jack, Clark, and Legay families, among many more.

A Tribute Service celebrating the life of the late Carlyle Andrew Sylvester will be held on Tuesday, 20th January 2026 at 1:30 PM at Belgroves Funeral Home, Jos Chapel, followed by cremation at 3:00 PM at Belgroves Memorial Centre & Crematorium, #10 Orange Grove Road, Tacarigua.
