In Loving Memory of DAPHNE LANA MARGARET WHYTE
Daphne Lana Margaret Whyte, formerly of #2 Guadelope, Mahaica, Point Fortin, and a former dedicated worker of the National Petroleum Marketing Company Limited, peacefully departed this life on 03rd April 2026. A woman of grace, humour, huge smiles and a heart big enough for family, friends, and mischief alike, Daphne leaves behind a lifetime of memories and love.
She was the cherished daughter of the late Cynthia Whyte and Drayton Wheeler, and a devoted sister to Jeanette, Martin “Ray,” John, Joseph “Harrison,” and Wendyjoy, each of whom shared in her laughter, strength, and unfiltered honesty.
Daphne was a proud and loving aunt to Andre Jed and Annamarie Frances, a cherished grand aunt of: Ammiel Corey Jed, and Aniyah Jeanette Whyte. She was also a treasured cousin and relative of the Whyte and Balwant families, and a dear friend to Lester Wilson, Jason Matoram, and many others whose lives were brighter for having known her.
A Tribute Celebrating Daphne’s Life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday 17th April 2026 at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, #9 Techier Main Road, Point Fortin, followed by her cremation at 12:00 pm at Belgroves Crematorium, #1 Richardson Street, Point Fortin. Family and friends are warmly invited to return to the St. Mark’s Anglican Church Parish Hall for a repast, where stories, smiles, and fond memories will be shared as her spirit is carried forward in love.

To the Whyte Family please accept my condolences. It is unfair that death should have the power to take away the ones we love, the Bible calls it an “ enemy” . However that enemy will soon “be brought to nothing” ( 1 Cor 15:26) we look forward to the time when “death will be no more neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore the former things have passed away.” Our Creator has both the desire and power to fulfill this promise he yearns to bring back our loved ones right here on earth in the Grand Resurrection. In the mean time he promises to give us the strength and “power beyond what is normal” to cope. I hope this message brought you some comfort.
