Celebrating the Life of Hollister Vernon
In celebration of a remarkable life and enduring legacy, we honor the memory of Hollister Vernon, a cherished resident of Harris Village, South-Oropouche. At the age of 92, he peacefully passed away at his home, leaving behind a legacy of love and accomplishments.
Vernon was a family man to his core; he was a devoted husband to the late Joyce Vernon, a role model as the son of the late Ida Noel and Norman Vernon, and a nurturing father to Horace, Maxine, Marsha, and Margot. His journey included the camaraderie of siblings, the late Roland, Herman, Clyde, Vera Hamilton, and Cynthia.
As the founder and CEO of HV Contracting, he not only tended to gardens but also cultivated a thriving business. Pioneering in his field and clearing the path within the industry.
His influence extended to the next generations, touching the lives of grandchildren Alexis, Mickel, Anise, and Rheba, as well as great-grandchildren Christian and Maverick. Vernon’s familial ties were further strengthened as the brother-in-law of Janet Vernon and the father-in-law of Wayne Parris and Barbara Augustin.
In addition to his immediate family, he played a guiding role as an uncle to Cynthia Vernon, Kurt Vernon, Karen Bender, Nigel Baldwin, and many others. As we reflect on the chapters of his life, let us celebrate the indelible mark Mr. Hollister Vernon has left on his family, friends, and community. May his legacy continue to inspire and shine brightly in the hearts of those who were touched by his presence.
