Celebrating the Life of Jean Kathleen Kromah

With a profound commitment to education spanning over three decades, she touched hearts as a teacher in both Trinidad and Liberia, culminating her career as a respected School Principal. Even in retirement, her passion for education persisted, shaping young minds as a Remedial Teacher and inspiring excellence in young adults at YTEPP.

Beyond the classrooms, Jean embraced adventure and social connections. Her love for travel and lively gatherings with family and friends showcased her infectious joy and jovial personality. Jean’s warmth made her a friend to many, and her stories and culinary delights, including sweet bread and African dishes, added a special touch to every occasion.

In mourning her passing, Jean leaves behind a multitude of family and friends who will forever remember her kindness, intelligence, dedication, and that radiant smile. Her positive influence reverberates in the roles she played—as a devoted wife, loving mother, doting grandmother, cherished aunt, trusted friend, inspiring teacher, and respected Principal.

We remember Jean with the words of Emily Dickinson:

“Because I could not stop for death

He kindly stopped for me

The Carriage held but just Ourselves

And immortality”

Rest in eternal peace Ms. Kromah. You were responsible for getting my son and my niece in Bon Air Gardens Government Primary School and I also had the privilege to be the Guide Leader at Good Shepherd Anglican Primary where your daughter Moly was a Junior Guide.
