In Loving Memory of Kay Alleyne-Meloney
Tobago mourns the loss of one of its most gifted daughters. Kay Alleyne-Meloney, celebrated vocalist and beloved cultural figure, has departed this life, leaving behind a legacy as timeless as her voice.

Born in Bon Accord, Kay’s musical journey captivated a nation. From her unforgettable emergence as the 2007 Digicel Rising Stars champion to her masterful performances across gospel, jazz, and R&B, she gave the world more than music—she gave it meaning. Each note she sang was wrapped in soul, each stage she graced became sacred ground.
Kay’s artistry reflected not only her immense talent but also her warmth, humility, and dedication to her craft. She moved audiences, not just with power and precision, but with heart. To witness her perform was to witness something deeply human and beautifully divine.
She was a wife, a daughter of the soil, a friend, and a beacon of inspiration to many. Her impact rippled through communities, inspiring young creatives and uplifting every space she entered.
As tributes continue to pour in, one truth resounds: Kay was more than a voice—she was a light. And though that light may no longer shine in our presence, it lives on in our memories, in our music, and in the hearts of all who were touched by her song.

To the Meloney Family.
Please accept my deepest condolences, it is unfair that death should have the power to take away the ones we love. It was not part of Gods purpose however with comfort from the scriptures you can cope. At Psalm 55:22 it says, “ Throw your burden on Jehovah, And he will sustain you. Never will he allow the righteous one to fall.” In the near future we look forward to The Grand Resurrection ( coming back to life ) where we will be able to see our dead loved ones again, right here on earth. Acts 24:15 says, “ And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection.” The one who made this promise has both the desire and power to fulfill it. I hope this brought you some comfort, to learn more about the resurrection, please visit jw.org.
