    Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

To God we belong and to Him is our eventual return. Al Quran ch 2: verse 156

This verse signifies the understanding of the transient nature of life. it is the belief that everything, including human beings, ultimately belongs to god Almighty. It acknowledges the reality of mortality. And it is the belief that all individuals will return to God Almighty in the afterlife, where we will meet him for our everlasting stay.

This statement if the quran serves as a reminder of the entire of humanity on impermanence of life and the need for patience during times of grief.

Contemplate on this verse in moments of introspection and gratitude. And so, it recognize our dependence on our one Supreme creator of the heavens and the earth for our existence and well-being.

Life is too short for us to be distant, even though we are soo connected.
To my family, while I cannot say I know how it feels to lose a mother, I have seen how the impact of the loss of one has. For we all came from, and have been cared and learnt soo much from our mothers, their sacrifices for us must never be forgotten, it must resonate with us and our generations today and to come.

Be well my family! I pray for your well being and that the Almighty gives you the strength to bear this loss with patience and pray, that you would connect to God Almighty, and that he would shower his mercy on all.

The verse ‘absent from the body, present with the Lord’ (2 Corinthians 5:8) beautifully captures the belief that when a believer passes away, their spirit is immediately in God’s presence. This is what we mean by ‘safely home.’ As followers of Jesus Christ, we know that death isn’t the end, but a transition to being with the LORD. We weep but not without hope.
