Mavis “Gran” Lutchman

In Loving Memory of Mavis “Gran” Lutchman

Mavis Lutchman was a lady of small stature and immense kindness. She was the loving mother of six children and a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to many. At the heart of her life was her family, whom she loved deeply and selflessly. She was a reliable source of help and encouragement especially with the care and education of her grandchildren.

Gran was a true “hot foot,” with an open mind and adventurous spirit who loved traveling both regionally and internationally, embracing new places, people, cultures, and experiences with enthusiasm and curiosity.

Throughout her life she enjoyed sewing, cooking, word search puzzles and being a fierce dominos player.

She had a deep passion for animals and nature prompting her visits to zoos, aquaria and nature parks. She also enjoyed watching her David Attenborough and Mark Weins documentaries.

Generous and compassionate, Gran believed wholeheartedly in treating people well. She was a true altruist, embodying the principles of the Holy Scriptures. She regularly attended congregation meetings and enjoyed fellowship with her friends.

Gran leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, adventure, generosity, kindness, and selfless service. Her life touched many, and the lessons she taught through both her words and actions will live on through her family, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
