Celebrating the Life of Norma Raymond
It is with both heavy hearts and hearts filled with gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Norma Raymond,
She will be lovingly remembered as the: Mother of: David Webber, the beloved Mother-in-Law of Jacqueline West, Spiritual Mother of Sharon Loney, and a guiding presence to many others.
Norma was a source of love and wisdom, touching the lives of all who knew her. She was the cherished Grandmother of Rene, Naomi, and Shamyah, Step Grandmother of Rodlyn, Nneka, Jamal, and Jaleen, and the Great Grandmother of Sarai, Shem, and Sania Jobity. Her nurturing spirit extended to her role as the Daughter of Agatha and Alder Raymond, Sister to Herman Raymond and Arton Francis, and the Niece of Aunty Anna.
In addition to her immediate family, Norma held a special place in the hearts of many, being the Aunt of Sherry-Ann Raymond-Sandiford, Andy, and Dale Raymond, and the Great Aunt of Amanda and Alana Raymond. Her expansive family tree includes cousins Cheryl Thompson, Ezra Felix Pough, Marion Noel, Julien, Lincoln, Wesley Joy, Ann, Melva, Michael, Rhonda, and many others. Norma’s legacy is intertwined with the Felix’s and Raymond’s, creating a tapestry of love and connection.
Throughout her journey, Norma forged deep friendships with the likes of Priscilla Wright-Forte, Ms. Susan, Mr. James, Ms. Jean, Jubari, Mother Helen, Mother Phylis, Bishop Toppin, and many more, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of those who were fortunate to call her friend.
A tribute service honoring Norma Raymond’s remarkable life will take place on Friday, 17th November 2023, at Mt Ararat St James Spiritual Baptist Church, High Street South Oropouche, at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial at Roodal Cemetery, Lady Hailes Avenue, San Fernando. The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has shown support during this time of bereavement.
