Point Fortin stood at the center of many of our impactful initiatives this year. The Wills Symposium provided attendees with invaluable guidance on estate planning, helping families secure their futures with confidence and clarity. With our Belgroves Point Fortin Wellness Expo, in recognition of World Health Day, it was designed to empower the public with the knowledge, tools and invaluable insights into optimizing health, nurturing well-being, and embracing vitality at every stage of life.

Additionally, we also joined the vibrant celebrations of Point Fortin Borough Day, where culture, unity, and tradition came alive. Belgroves’ presence wasn’t just a contribution; it was a testament to our belief in the power of community to uplift and inspire.

Advocacy and Awareness: A Stand for Inclusivity and Health

At Belgroves, we take pride in championing causes that matter. Autism Awareness Day was an opportunity for us to amplify the voices of those on the spectrum, fostering understanding and inclusivity.

Again, in October, we rallied around Wear It Pink Friday, a poignant moment during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Our team dressed in pink, standing in solidarity with those impacted by breast cancer and emphasizing the critical importance of early detection.

All Saints and All Souls: Embracing Reflection, Remembrance, and Healing

Our All Saints and All Souls observance stands as a cornerstone of Belgroves Funeral Home’s unwavering commitment to honoring legacies and offering compassionate care. During this deeply significant period, Belgroves collaborated with families to create meaningful tributes, fostering reflection and remembrance. Complementing this effort, Conversations with Ceirid featured a live session titled “Reflect, Remember, Rejoice,” which provided a safe space for individuals to share their stories and explore the healing power of reflection. Building Brighter Futures Through Education

Our commitment to education remained unwavering in 2024. In addition ,through our Career Fairs, Sponsorships and Back-to-School Stationary Drives, we not only equipped students with essential tools to thrive in the classroom, but also extended this gesture to both staff and the wider community.

Furthermore, we also celebrated the story of the successful Pleasantville Secondary School SSFL South Zone Girls Football Team, whom we proudly sponsored. Their journey represents the hope, potential, and resilience of Trinidad and Tobago’s future leaders, and we are honored to play a role in shaping their successful path to victory.

Caring for the Planet, One Seedling at a Time

Similarly, environmental stewardship shone on World Environment Day with the distribution of broccoli, patchoi, lettuce, and cauliflower seedlings. This initiative wasn’t just about planting seeds in soil—it was about planting hope for a greener, more sustainable future.

Our Tobago location proudly deepened its community engagement in 2024 through meaningful and impactful initiatives. Our Open House welcomed attendees from various sectors, including community leaders, organizations, and assembly members of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA), offering insights into our services and demonstrating Tobago’s only crematorium. This showcased Belgroves’ commitment to providing advanced and accessible end-of-life care on the island.

Also, Belgroves Tobago participated in our World Environment Day Seedling Distribution, promoting sustainable living and environmental care. This initiative aligned with our commitment to fostering a greener Tobago.

The success of our Belgroves Tobago Wellness Expo further demonstrated our dedication to holistic care. Attendees accessed health services like vision screenings and blood pressure checks through the Tobago Regional Health Authority TRHA, reinforcing Belgroves’ commitment to community well-being beyond funeral services. The event also emphasized preplanning to ease burdens and affirmed Belgroves’ role as a trusted partner in life’s delicate moments.
