Repatriation is where a person passes outside of Trinidad &  Tobago and you wish for them or their remains to be transferred back to Trinidad and Tobago for burial or cremation. 

Expatriation, on the other hand, is where a person passes in Trinidad and Tobago and you wish for them or their remains to be transferred to another country for burial or cremation. 

Transferring your loved one to Trinidad and Tobago or to another country can take from 9 days to 21 days based on how the person passed and the requirements of the country from which the body is being repatriated from or expatriated to; each case is unique.
