There were so many qualities in Jan to be admired. The strength in her gentle spirit was ever present whenever she reached out in support of others. Jan was very special in so many ways. As an Educator she was total invested in her children’s Education and Careers. Thinking of you all,at this time, 🙏🏻

Beauty and brains, soft and strong. These words exemplify my childhood friend, Jeannette Zakour Elias. Together long before I could drive, we did so much – movies, travel, eat out and best of all, spend time almost daily in our respective homes in Luis Street and White Street. She was around for so many milestones in my life until she married and moved to San Fernando and I migrated to the United States. The last time I saw Jeannette, she didn’t really know me and I can’t think which was worse, then or now. What a loss, Jeannette. What a loss!!

Aunty Jan’s sweet and kind presence is how I remember me. Always with a smile and wanting to help do something. I know she’s a cherished joy to her family and friends and she’ll be greatly missed. Sending love and peace to Uncle Tony and everyone, and in remembrance of her beautiful soul. Rest in eternal peace, Aunty Jan

Such a wonderful person! I remember her very fondly as my French teacher at Fatima. I still mention her name often even today, when people ask about my proficiency with languages. I echo the sentiments here “beautiful inside and out”. My sincere condolences to her family.
