SALES REPRESENTATIVE
A. General Accountability
The ultimate objective of the Sales Representative is to find new business opportunities to achieve
strategic business growth while maintaining existing relationships. To be successful in the role, the Sales
Representative should be adept at negotiating business deals, able to make sound decisions that will
benefit the company and build sound business relationships to generate mutual growth and
development. Ultimately, an exceptional Sales Representative should have strong business acumen as
well as demonstrate excellent management, communication, and analytical skills.
B. Principal Accountabilities
â–ª Prospect and arrange appointments to educate prospective and current clients about the benefits
of purchasing the company’s products and services.
â–ª Perform market research to identify new business and service opportunities.
â–ª Engage with Managers to establish strategies in pursuit of business and service opportunities,
and retention of these opportunities.
â–ª Build and maintain relationships with existing stakeholders and clients.
â–ª Identify potential strategic partnerships with whom the company could partner with.
â–ª Assist in developing annual budget assumptions and expectations.
â–ª Assist in the development and implementation of the company sales and marketing strategies
and plans.
â–ª Attend networking opportunities to develop new business relationships.
â–ª Achieve monthly targets as set out by the company.
C. Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Academic/Technical Qualifications
â–ª Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Marketing, Sales or other related field
Experience
â–ª Minimum of three (3) years in a Business / Sales role, or an equivalent combination of training
and experience
â–ª Experience in customer service

â–ª Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
