Embalming is the process by which a body is sterilised and temporarily preserved. This process aids in decelerating decomposition as well as enhancing the aesthetics of the body. By embalming your loved one, you are provided with the time to make all arrangements for their tribute, you can have an open-casket service and you can give them a last kiss goodbye.

Embalming is not required by law in Trinidad and Tobago. Nevertheless, in cases of a deceased person’s body leaving or arriving at a country via Air or Ocean, embalming is required.
