In Loving Memory of Alanzo Hugh John

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Alanzo Hugh John, a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who passed away peacefully on February 22, 2025, at the age of 83.

Born in Plymouth, Tobago, Alanzo spent many years in the United Kingdom, where he pursued a career in nursing before moving to Canada and making a home with his family in Vancouver, British Columbia. After retiring from his career in nursing, he returned to Plymouth, Tobago, where he built his home and enjoyed his later years.

Alanzo was known for his generous nature, keen interest in news and local politics, and his love of music and food.

He is survived by his children, Curtis and Janelle; his grandchild, Ashley; and his brothers, Purcell, Maurice, and Nicholas. He was predeceased by his parents, Keturah and Latchford. His kindness and thoughtfulness will be remembered by all who knew him.

A viewing will be held on April 2, 2025, from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at Belgroves Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Alanzo John will take place on April 2, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. David’s Anglican Church, Plymouth, Tobago. Interment will follow at the Plymouth Public Cemetery.

At this time, there will be no formal wake. Refreshments will be served after the funeral service.
