In Loving Memory of Clifton Richards

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Clifton Richards, formerly of #21 Ramsaran Street, Cap-De-Ville, Point Fortin. Clifton departed this life on October 12, 2024, at the remarkable age of 75.

Clifton was the beloved son of the late Albertha Richards and a devoted husband to Leela Richards. He was a proud father to Frantz, Asha, Karen, and Monique, and he embraced his role as a father-in-law with warmth, welcoming Nick Davis, Bruce Lee, Neferteri Lucas, and Ché Matthew into the family. As a grandfather, he brought joy to the lives of Ezekiel, Triston, Zion, Joshua, Priya, Amina, Andrés, and Caleb, whose laughter and love filled his heart.

He was a cherished brother to Harvey, Aaron, and Anthony, and he grieved the loss of his siblings Kennedy Sr. and Lorna. Clifton was also a beloved uncle to a host of nieces and nephews, including Stacy, Lester, Akeem, Adriano, Devon, Deon, Ernie, Maria, Vernessa, Kennedy Jr., Afeisha, Greeta, Keith, Askia, Antonia, Lenrick, Rosette, and Varlene, among many others.

In addition to his family, Clifton held dear friendships with many, including Keith St. Paul, Donald Denoon, Sabeeja Maharaj, Elizabeth Quashie, Phyllis Maughan (deceased), Keith Trotman, Michael Lessey, Bisram Seebaran, David Nagar, Alvin Matthew, Allyson Williams (Peppers), Lawrence Ryan, Janet Byrnes, Gregory Byrne, Delora Wildman, Brian Cozier, Jillian Springer, John Marcus, and countless others who were touched by his kindness and generosity.

We invite family and friends to celebrate Clifton’s remarkable life during a tribute service at the Point Fortin Methodist Church, Techier Street, Point Fortin, at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Let us gather together to honor his legacy and share in the love he gave so freely.

You have always been there for my family and I. We were truly blessed to have had the opportunity to have you in our lives and to enjoy your company. You were truly a force to be reckoned with and possessed a special calmness for dealing with every situation. Thank you for everything. May God reward you with interest for every good deed that you did. It is with great sorrow and an extremely heavy heart that we say rest in peace. You may have left us to soon but your memories, deeds and charismatic personality will never be forgotten 💔😭🙏 Love always ❤️
