In Loving Memory of Dexter Nigel Joseph

We deeply mourn the passing of Dexter Nigel Joseph, formerly of #117 Cochrane Village, Guapo, who left us on August 26, 2024, at the age of 52. Dexter was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose presence touched many lives.

Dexter was the cherished son of Andrew and Olive Joseph (both deceased) and the loving husband of Jeanette Tyson-Joseph. He proudly fathered Dexiann Joseph and served as a father figure to Roger, Joel, and Gerard. As the son-in-law of the late Clifton Tyson and Melita Tyson, he honored their memory and upheld their values. He cherished his daughters-in-law, Marisa and Nerissa, and treasured his role as a grandfather to Damani, Dejaniquè, Dominick, Amara, Sarai, and Mureek. Dexter was also the brother of Junior, Trevor, Ian, O’Neil, Donald, Curleen (deceased), and Yvette (deceased), and the brother-in-law to Denamay, Mary, Joylyn, Marva , Avalon, Annette, Dennis, Sharon, Jennifer, Earl, Carl, and Carlos.

His friends, including Grantley, Derick, Shane, Willie and Bobby Persad, will remember him for his warmth and kindness. Dexter was also an uncle to Dion, Keisha, Rachael-Ann, Kenisha, Olivette, Roxanne, Hess, Trevlyn, Djallon, Djanna, Avion, Dianne, Aniel, Anika, Dylon, Donnel, Trevon, Nyola, Issa, Safiya, Kyle, Onecae, and Onecia, and a relative of the Chichester and McCloud families.

The funeral tribute for Dexter Nigel Joseph will take place at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 2, 2024, at Mt. Ebo Spiritual Baptist Church, Filtration Plant Road, Gonzales, followed by burial at Brighton Cato Cemetery.

We will miss him dearly and remember him fondly.
