In Loving Memory of Glendon Steve Alexander Gill

Sunrise: 4th June 1963
Sunset: 8th May 2025
With profound sadness, we honour the life of Glendon Steve Alexander Gill, who peacefully departed this life on 8th May 2025. Known for his quiet strength, boundless generosity, and deep love for his family, Glendon leaves behind a rich legacy of memories and relationships that span generations.
Beloved son of the late Alfred Gill and Carmen Gill, Glendon was a proud and loving father to Cherisse Timeeka Fiducia Gill, Saraya Alexa Naomi Gill, and Jordan Alexander Noah Gill.
He shared lifelong bonds with his siblings Ashley Chewitt, Alfred Gill, Kenneth Gill, Marilyn Ojar, Judy Gill, Charmaine Acosta, and Jerry Gill—and cherished brotherhood forged through loyalty and respect with Winston James, Kenneth Harvey, Wendell King, and the late Andre Redman.
He held the title of uncle and great-uncle to many, filling his family with love, guidance, and joy across generations, and remained a steadfast friend to an extended circle of loved ones whose lives were enriched by his presence.
We will gather to celebrate Glendon’s life at a Tribute Service on Monday 19th May 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Augustine Evangelical Ministries, Corner Agostini & Belle Smythe Streets, St. Augustine, followed by cremation at 3:00 PM at Belgroves Memorial Centre & Crematorium, #10 Orange Grove Road, Tacarigua.
Glendon will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives he touched.

Although he has left this earth, he will never truly leave us, for he lives on in our spirits. Thank you for all the good that your life has brought to many of us.

Words cannot truly express the pain and grief caused by your loss. It has been a blessing to have shared time with you and I have no doubt that this has been the experience of others who have spent time with you. You have been a true and considerate friend who can always be counted on. I fondly recall all the times we spend in the United Nations Mission in Georgia (UNOMIG) especially our group discussions in the “Caribbean Kitchen”. You certainly helped me to navigate my way around Sochi, Russia in our weekend rest and recreation (R&R) trips. You constantly spoke about your daughter and the rest of your family and we pray that God will continue to give them His peace and comfort. You will surely be missed but God only knows. May your soul rest in eternal peace (RIP).

don’t even know what to say. I’m truly heartbroken to have lost a brother like you, Steve. You were a blessing in my life, and now you’re in a better place—resting with Jesus in heaven. I won’t say goodbye, because I believe we’ll meet again one day. Rest in peace, Steve. You will always be in my heart.

Glendon Gill was a person of wisdom and kindness, always ready to listen and offer solutions with a smile. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his legacy of thoughtfulness and insight continue to inspire those who knew him. My deepest condolences to all who mourn his passing. 🙏🏽

May your soul rest in eternal peace ! You was a kind person full of humility. You prefered your assistants to call you Gill more than calling you chief.

To the Gill family,
Please accept my deepest condolences I am writing to share a comforting verse from the scriptures. It is unfair that death should have the power to take away the ones we love. That was not part of Gods purpose for mankind, however he promises that soon we will be able to see our loved ones again at Acts 24:15 it says , “ And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection.” In the near future our Creator promises to bring back to life our loved ones, right here on earth. You have a real hope of seeing Glendon again. The one who made this promise has both the desire and power to fulfill it. I hope this message brought you some comfort, if you like to know more about the resurrection please visit jw.org.
