Peter Edwards, formerly of Tarodale, Ste Madeleine, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2024. Peter was a beloved figure in his community and will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the love he extended to all who knew him.

He was the cherished son of the late Mary Edwards and the devoted husband of the late Monica Edwards. Peter was a dedicated father to Annie, Junior, Ian, Tony, Damien, and the late Annette. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren: Candice, Camille, Carl, Curlan, Kemron, Keon, Damisha, Simba, Jody, Chantel, Heather, Megan, Micah, Déjaun, and Sadéja, who will always remember his stories and wisdom.

Peter was also a proud great-grandfather to Cherelle, Cherise, Samara, Chelsea, Caleb, Alora, Khalilah, Kerdell, Jazmyne, Karina, Kaira, and Jelani, and a doting great-great-grandfather to Kaylee, Kaydee, and Nathan. He found joy in the company of his extended family, including his brothers-in-law Sylvia, Janice, Owen, Michael, and Virginia.

Peter’s life was enriched by his relationships with the Williams, Edwards, and Kirton families, as well as his enduring friendships with Prince, Jim, Scar, and Chinnaz. These connections brought him great happiness and comfort throughout his life.

A tribute service to honor the life of Peter “Dougla” Edwards will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the Lionel Belgrove Memorial Chapel at Belgrove Funeral Home, #2-6 Belgrove Lane, Coffee Street, San Fernando, at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, Peter will be laid to rest at Roodal Cemetery, Lady Hailes Avenue, San Fernando.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has offered their support and condolences during this time of bereavement. Peter’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
