In Loving Memory of Verol Joseph

We announce with heavy hearts the passing of Verol Joseph, formerly of Los Bajos, Trinidad, who left us on August 24th, 2024.

Verol, born to Allan Grant and Christiana Drucilla Grant, cherished her role as a sister to Sheila Butler, Horace Grant, Neville Grant, Merlyn McMillan, Whilma Bernard, Gwendolyn Grant, and Marjorie Olaniyan. She lived a fulfilling life with her husband, Raphael ‘Reggie’ Joseph Montoute, and enjoyed being a beloved daughter-in-law to Azaema C. Joseph Montoute.

Her children, Marva Richards, Audra Richards, and Esther Joseph-Paul, along with her sons-in-law, Irvin Richards and Henry Richards, carry forward her legacy. Her grandchildren—Shania Paul, Chelsea Richards, Jehryl Richards, Adrian Richards, Geraud Richards, Renaud Richards, Olesei Paul, and Omari Paul—honor her memory with their love.

As a dear sister-in-law to Rodney Butler, Carlton McMillan, Henry Bernard, Eulin Grant, and Tinothy Olaniyan, and a beloved aunt to many, Verol’s presence will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.

We will gather to celebrate her life at a tribute service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024, at MT. Bethel #2 Independent Baptist Church, Jacob Settlement, Santa Flora.

Her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
