We announce with deep sorrow the passing of Ansley Richards Perez, who departed from this life on September 30, 2023. Ansley will always be remembered with love and affection by his family, friends, and those fortunate enough to have known him.

Ansley was the son of the late Raymond and Elsina Long, and husband of the late Juliet Richards. He leaves behind his children, Ansley (Anci), Nathali, and Joel, as well as his honorary son, Michael. He was a proud grandfather to Ashley, Ansley (Niño), and Jose, and a great-grandfather to Zane.

Ansley’s siblings, Hyacinth Curtis, Lystra Long, and Christine Chaitram, will miss him dearly. He was also a brother-in-law to Ruth Medina, Gerald Medina, and the late Chrispino Leben.

Ansley was an uncle to Kirk, Jason, Claire, Andrew, Mark, Ashley, Leah, Ryan, Ramona, and Ricardo. He was a relative of the Oltans, Byrons, Longs, and Medinas, and a cherished friend to many, including Maharaj, Tony, Keith, Shanti, Pamela, Ria, Jackson, Cliff, Donna, Ted, Beverly, Carol, Dianne, Anita, Cecilia, Mendez, Jimmy, Franklyn, Tracey, Debbie, Eldon, Jose, and the late Carl.

A service to celebrate Ansley’s life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 9:00 AM at the Church of St. Phillip & St. James, Roman Catholic Church in Chaguanas. Following the service, cremation will take place at 12:00 PM at Belgrove’s Crematorium, 2-6 Belgrove Lane, Coffee Street, San Fernando.

Ansley’s memory will forever be a beacon of kindness and warmth in the hearts of all who knew him.
