Phillip Garcia, formerly of Mafeking Village, Mayaro, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2024. He will be lovingly remembered as the son of Paul Garcia and Christina Garcia (both deceased).

Phillip was the father of Glenda, Betty, Justin, Loui, Angela, Carol, Paschal, Nigel, Keithlyn, and Curlene (deceased). He was also a cherished father-in-law to Justin, Leslie, Latoeya, Timothy, and Ebony.

As a grandfather, he doted on Shaun, Shane, Sherine, Cindy, Candy, Jason, Jerome, Josanna, Joel, Loui Joshua, Luke, Lenny, Louanne, Calvin, Carla, Tracy-Ann, Leonson, Timesha, Tamara, Tahira, Xavier, Nathan, Nathanael, Kareeda, Makezsha, and AJ. His legacy extends further to his great-grandchildren: Brandon, Brian, Jada, Anico, Arnoldo, Daniel, Daniella, Ardeon, Thessalon, Daynon, Dejah, Donte, Stephenson, Dominic, Jordan, Joline, and Logan.

Phillip was a beloved brother to Leroy, Mervin, Elder, Pamela, Mickie, Sister, Kenny, Bernice, Elsie, Ivy, Gabriel, and the late Roy. He was an uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

A tribute service for Phillip Garcia will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 10:00 am at the House of Mourning, Mafeking Village, Mayaro. This will be followed by a cremation at Belgrove’s Crematorium, 2-6 Belgrove Lane, Coffee Street, San Fernando, at 3:00 pm. The family extends a heartfelt “thank you” to everyone who has shown support during this time of bereavement.
